EAP Ⅰ
This is a required English course for NPTU students in their first semester of their freshman year. Through the design of a curriculum relevant to Taiwanese students’ daily life and personal interests, this course aims to foster freshmen students’ ability to engage in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, in the context of academic studies.
There are four key objectives for this task-based course which is structured in alignment to the CEFR B1 language proficiency standards.
(1) Students will be able to comprehend academic talks related to university learning and life
(2) Students will be able to orally express their opinions during discussions and presentations related to university learning and life.
(3) Students will be able to comprehend texts related to university learning and life.
(4) Students will be able to compose genre-specific texts in the context of university learning and life.
